Considering St Cat's. Just have a few questions and would love to hear from people with experience of the school. What's St Cat's Bramley like in boarding and how is the pastoral care like? Is boarding very empty in the weekends and is the school academically very demanding? Are the girls nice?

I don't have daughters there but I have friends who were! I also have a friend whose daughter went on an overnight stay as part of the Year 6 selection in the last few years but ultimately chose a different Kent-based boarding school as she felt that she had little in common with the other girls who were there on that occasion - but that is a very personal experience.

Certainly I've been past on a Sunday and seen the senior school girls walking back from church and they appeared a happy, well-behaved cross-section of international students (not unlike a Benetton Ad from the 1990s!).

One thing that I have heard (from a number of sources) is that if you are not sporty, you may encounter a rather alpha group of girls who are rather intolerant of having to play games with those who are not so blessed with sporting genes and make those feelings pretty clear. Perhaps other posters can respond to this.

Try re-posting again using St Catherine's School, Bramley (as opposed to Twickenham!) in the title as I think other users may have missed your original post. Hopefully someone with girls boarding there currently will come forward. Good luck with your research.
