DS got an A for his coursework and a C for his final piece, so a B overall.
The weekend before the prep work for the final piece was due to be handed in his Art teacher told him that it wasn't to his usual standard....and that he needed to do more.
He spent the whole stressed weekend working on 2 more sheets which we felt were very similar, if not better than his previous work and his teacher seemed pleased.
We have asked about a re-mark but been told that because his teacher awarded that mark and the examining body agreed with a sample of other students work which she had marked, that they cant re-mark.
It seems such a subjective and unfair system of marking.
Is there really no appeals system for questioning Art grades?
