Only just the start of term and already I am stressed!!

DD had French summer holiday revision which I reminded her about over the holidays. She took some revision books on our summer holiday, I questioned her whether she was actually revising the correct thing as I had seen on the homework app it seemed to be different. She flew off the handle, bit my head off and claimed she had in all under control and I was to stop interfering.

So first French lesson yesterday since being back to school, she hasn't done any of the summer holiday homework that she was supposed to. She claimed that she thought she could choose which parts of the homework she could do Hmm so she choose to revise using the study books... French teacher phoned me yesterday as DD had low mark in test... Angry She it seems that either she did revise the wrong thing or it didn't stick and she now has a week extension to complete her summer holiday homework.

HELP Shock

What help do you/she need? Hopefully your DD has taken on board that she has either not revised/revised the wrong area (not that she's going to admit it to you!) and is now going to pull up her socks in time for the retest next week? Does she now know what she is supposed to be revising - if not, I would leave it to her to find out. I am a bit surprised that the teacher called you because of ONE low mark in a test - by Year 11, I would expect them to be dealing with the student?

Thanks unfortunateevents don't need any help as such just somewhere to rant and someone to listen!! (DH and I are both finding DD difficult at the moment).

Teacher called me as she asked permission for DD to stay on after school for study support.
