If you are a secondary stem teacher, would you mind sharing with me how your timetable and general week looks. I'm doing my placement and I am wondering how the timetables here compare with schools in the UK. Pure noseyness really :-)
We work a 45hr week (10hrs of this is at home) and my mentor teacher has 15hrs teaching, 24 hrs planning and admin (14 hrs in school) (spaces that are min 30mins), and 6hrs (gaps of less than 30min) used for setting up labs, photocopying, fixing equipment, etc time. (There is no lab technician and they seem to also cover general IT support for the other teachers.)
