oxford secondaries

Hi Folks

Our moving out of London conversation continues. Anyone experience of getting into Oxford secondaries. We would like to send dbs to Cherwell, but probably can't afford Summertown prices. Anyone know what Cheney school in Headington is like?

Are you definitely wanting to live in Oxford? Because TBH, most of the schools in the villages around Oxford have better reps than the ones in it! I'm thinking Bartholomew's in Eynsham, Either of the two schools in Witney, St Birinus' in Didcot, The Marlborough in Woodstock ... all very good results and reps. Within Oxford, have you considered Matthew Arnold? It is in Botley, a relatively cheap part of the city to live in (but very surbuban). It currently has the rep for being one of the better schools in Oxford itself.

Don't know what Cheney school is like, but Headington itself is rather nice.
