Any update on the OCR GCSE English paper error?

Dd sat the paper but not the Romeo and Juliet question. But she is worrying because she has heard that the R+J candidates will be awarded extra marks which will affect grade boundaries.

Does anyone know any more?

Just a bystander, no knowledge.

1. There's no point her worrying as she can't do anything about it.

2. Surely they'll do something like:

• look at the average marks given for questions on other plays - e.g. 17.

look at average marks given for R&J question - e.g. 12.

• Then give everyone who did R&J an extra 5 marks.

Any uplift would be to reflect the disadvantage of being given an incorrectly worded question, not to then disadvantage people who didn't do R&J. (Presumably they will be even cleverer than my solution.)
