Non Verbal Reasoning (NVR) tests

Hi! Does anyone know the difference between a "CEM" NVR test & a "GL" one? CGP offer workbooks for each "syllabus". The secondary sch that asks pupils to sit the test doesn't specify as it is not a selective school, they just apply "fair banding" from each attainment bracket. I'd like my daughter to be vaguely familiar with the format when she turns over the page.

There is a summary of the differences here. However, if the school uses fair banding rather than taking those with the highest score there may not be any advantage to your daughter from doing well in the test. Indeed, in some circumstances it may be better if she does badly. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing in advance whether a good performance or a bad one is more likely to get her a place.
