Ardingly College and West Sussex places to live

Morning all,

We're considering a move out of London to Ardingly College, West Sussex. Does anyone have any knowldge of the school?

Also, where do people tend to live? Want to be within 30 mins of school and in a busy/not too quiet place. Considering:
Horsham
Lindfield/Haywards Heath
Hurstpierpoint
Lewes - though pricier and maybe too far.

Any help greatly appreciated! X

I went to Ardingly many years ago. It was a great school then and I believe it still has a good reputation. It's a good all round school with plenty of opportunity for art, drama, music and sport. One of my peers is now a housemistress there. I am fairly tempted on a regular basis to leave London and move back to Sussex and send my girls there...

Horsham is lovely (and it's worth looking at Christ's Hospital as a school). It's regularily voted in the top 10 places to live in the U.K. Haywards Heath is probably a better commuting station if you'll still be working in London. I think Lewis might be a bit far to commute to school. I always like the look of Steyning when travelling through (both my parents and DH's still live in that part of Sussex).
