Entrance Exam TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!

HELP, DD has very unexpectedly been offered to sit an entrance exam for ind sel 1st choice school tomorrow. How can I help? The test is in the afternoon. So excited but so worried too.

Any news of your DDs results ? I don't even know you, but I am really rooting for her, you seem to be so committed to finding the best for her - and SHE desperately wants it too !!! (even better).

Thank you for your interest TheodoresMummy. We still have not had 'the letter'. I got so anxious earlier in the week that I telephoned the school and they said there was no news, whats that about, not marked her paper??? They said they would let me know as soon as there was news, however, they had also previously said we would know towards the latter end of the week Going to check post in a minute will update when I HAVE news.

Still no letter What does this say about the school??? Are they so far up their own backsides YES. They are so well regarded they can just do as they please. I am seriously hacked off with them and more importantly, DD is anxious and fretting. It just doesn't seem fair.

Also have a registration for another school which needs to be sent immediately plus £100 fee as DD has a good chance of getting in there (2nd choice) but obviously do not want to part with £100 if 1st choice eventually give us good news.

THANK YOU THANKYOU THANK YOU TO ALL YOU LOVELY PEOPLE WHO WISHED DD LUCK AND SENT POS VIBES, I LOVE YOU ALL. HAVE'NT TOLD DD YET, WAS JUST GOING TO GO ON MONDAY AND BUY THE SCHOOL SCARF TO GIVE HER. BUT, I GUESS THATS NOT FAIR, AM SHORTLY GOING TO OPEN THE CHAMPERS AND RAISE A TOAST TO MY DARLING D AND BREAK IT TO HER THEN, WOW, SHE'LL HAVE SUCH A GREAT WEEKEND AND A MASSIVE CONFIDENCE BOOST.

She was the only one to sit the exam, when we had a private tour a few weeks ago and met the Head, he said maybe he could squeeze DD in (they were full) but I think he must have taken a shine to her. This makes it even more special to be offered a place. DD is going to write a thank letter to him over the weekend, she is just estatic. So, the champagne was opened last night and I raised a toast to DD, saying something like " have a great time at *" but it went over her head, three times I toasted her with various comments before she leapt in the air, shrieking and then proceeded the squeeze the life out of me. She is now on a constant high and cannot stop smiling. This will, I believe, enhance her life no end. Thanks everyone again for all your good wishes.

I hope it lives up to your expectations, next door neighbours dd was like that about her school last summer - she left at christmas as didn't like it.
