Finishing year 13 in 2017

DS sounded more upbeat after History this morning.

I phoned him at 13.00 and he was already home and doing a Maths paper for revision!

DD said the History was hard, but thats History done now!

Anyone else doing Edexcel Decision Maths? DS finished it at 3pm and he hasn't texted me yet. He was pretty hacked off this morning, it's the pressure.

History done ,now preparing for Bio and Chem on Monday and Tuesday.
DD2 finished GCSE and relieved/happy .A little grumpy the whole house not in celebratory mood as her sister still has a long way to go , not over till 26/6.

We're done on the 29th, olliepolly. It seems like a long way off.

SamianBowl DS did Decision Maths on Wednesday morning, although his was OCR - but don't they all do the same papers on the same day (obviously not!).

DS was very despondent after AQA English yesterday but judging by Twitter he wasn't the only one. He was quite distraught last night and I had a job to persuade him to keep going. However he is much more upbeat after today's Edexcel History. Six more days!

Not sure I could cope with two doing exams at once so for those who've had to do this. Hope maths went well for those taking it today.

It's actually quite easy with multiple DC doing exams ono - everyone in the same boat etc.

Mechanics 2 was hard, DD says.

I'm in shock, picked up Dd from her Chemistry exam and she was actually cheerful .

Chemistry ok here too, but she's now proper stressy over maths c3

C3 is the maths exam she is most worried about.

DD is bearing up well with only two big exams to go, Biology tomorrow and next week ( plus two general studies)

I just bought her a few more notebooks that she needed and some fluorescent star cards for those last minute facts to remember.
She even had the humour to say she'd keep back one pack of stars in case she needs to re-take her Geography. Not entirely joking but cheerful about it all!

Who could ask for more? 😘

How are people dc managing if they're in the heatwave?

Dd and a friend have a revision day. Dd has been complaining about the heat all day and is now asleep. I'm not waking her.

DS has a heavy week with three exams Tue - Thurs and all very content heavy. He hasn't been outdoors in weeks and I'm afraid he will succumb to rickets at this rate! I don't know how he is keeping it together as I am melting in this heat.

Good luck Ono's DS, that sounds like a big week. As DD says about tomorrow's Biology will be nice when it's over!

Glad to hear the chemistry went well for them!

Mine has been revising physics in the garden, rewriting notes - a while ago she'd asked me to get her an exercise book, I got 3 and she's needed them all. Past papers have been done inside early in the day before her room heats up.

Four exams here this week incl two tomorrow.

A swim in the sea helped with the heat yesterday :)

Dd has two tomorrow as well - Biology and Maths.Apparently it was roasting today in her school in the afternoon exam.So she is dreading tomorrow afternoon.Its so hot and I couldn't sleep last night because youngest Ds decided to get into bed with me.

Thankfully cooler here today, chemistry 2 yesterday and bio 2 today.She is giving herself the evening off after this as has a week until the final Chem and bio papers. I am counting the days. Post GCSE dd2 lounging around as we all work and even was heard to say she was bored yesterday.
