...recommendations and reviews please, in the Hampshire / Surrey area?

Very academic daughter age 13, going into year 10.

Currently considering Cranleigh & Bedales, not sure about the latter. Would've been great for me, might be too out-there for my very sensible daughter!

Any thoughts appreciated, TIA

Do you want single sex or co-ed? Any particular interest in sport, music or drama?

Michaelahpurple · 29/03/2017 21:57

St Catherine's Bramley?

Michaelahpurple · 29/03/2017 21:58

Neither Cranleigh nor Bedales are madly academic, I don't think.

St Swithuns?
Not Hampshire or Surrey but Wycombe Abbey and Downe House are strong academically.
Do you think your dd needs a very academic cohort or a slightly less academic one where she will be one of the top performers. Are you looking for full or weekly boarding

Another vote for Downe House- it's Berkshire so v close to the area you're looking at. It's a lovely school.

BrightNewLife · 30/03/2017 10:03

Thanks everyone.

Downe House has shot to the top of the list, Wycombe Abbey too.

I would prefer v academic, and all girls.

She's more theatre, books and 'doing things' than massively sporty.

Great recommendations, thank you; will also look at the others on here.
