Bishops Wordsworth Salisbury

Hi all hope you all got the school you were hoping for today. Did anyone get a place at Bishops or currently have ds there.

My son got his acceptance today and is extactic. I just wondered if anyone else did or anyone else have an tips for a new year 7. This is all new to us as my dd is at a local state school.

its a fab school. We've been offered a place but will prob not take it up purely for logistical reasons.

I am sure your son will have a brilliant time there.

Logistically for us it will be a bit of a nightmare as I've just got a new job in Andover instead of Salisbury.

However that said it was to good an offer to miss.

Don't worry about being in Andover, many BWS boys from year7 upwards take the train in from Andover station.

its ok my ds wont be in Andover I will be with work, When I was working in salisbury the hours were ideal I could have dropped him into school and picked him up at end of the day. Thats what I meant about it being a bit of a nightmare now.

Ah I see, I have no experience of Bishops transport, but if it's anything like South Wilts there may be a convenient bus your son can catch. Congrats on getting in, btw.

I've had a look he can get he bus from outside out front door and it stops at debenhams and he just has to walk down the road. Thank you he is so happy he decided to give it a go and it has paid off.
