What Eng. Lit. texts would be popular for an A-level revision day?

I'm an academic in Eng. Lit. and have been asked to line up some colleagues to offer English lit revision sessions for an A-level revision day on campus to help with recruitment.

The problem is that the 'steers' given by Recruitment are rather vague and general, and I didn't myself go through the education system in this country. We are thoroughly well covered for Shakespeare, but would like a better sense of what texts or themes would be popular with A-level students preparing for their exam, particularly post 1945.

If any A-level English teachers or parents with children doing English A-level could make suggestions, I'd be really grateful.

DS1 is in his first year of an English Literature A-level course. I think it's with OCR. This is what he has studied so far:

Dystopia (Nineteen Eighty-Four, The Handmaid's Tale, The Road)

Measure for Measure

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning

You really need to look at the lists of set texts for each exam board and go with those as they form the vast bulk of students' reading. If you're aiming your revision sessions at only a small number of schools then you can find out which exam boards they do and narrow it down to those.

DD's boyfriend is doing English A level and is doing The Tempest, A Streetcar Named Desire and The Great Gatsby so far.
