..apart from the specimen papers, where are your DC getting practice questions (which I understand are in a problem solving style) from?
Can anyone recommend a particular text book

I don't think there are any, are there? Ds is just working through old papers on mathsgenie.

there's a CGP maths book and that has some practise papers at the back

If you want to practice problem-solving style questions then there's a free book here:

Edexcel also have published some:

For past papers, there really aren't that many available from exam boards and the school will want to use those that are, so probably best to avoid them for now.
