i doubt parents would have this info in hand. It is best to ask the schools directly.

Gossip suggests the ratio is more favourable than at 11+

guardian123 · 09/11/2016 17:59

Ratio of 11+ varies, it ranges from around 5-6 to one in most grammar schools in Kent to 10 to 1 in North London. Fee paying schools ratio would be much lesser.

guardian123 · 09/11/2016 18:00

oops. kent grammar schools ratio should 3-4:1 max.

No, but from my son's old state primary I only know of one boy not offered a place at either who took the exams, whether at 10+ or 11+. Not as difficult to get in as you think. Particularly if you jump through all their hoops - ie do a sports/music/science course a bit before you apply. I even know of boy offered place at Whitgift who told interviewer he wanted to go to one of the Grammar schools.

Sorry don't know either but I know there were 225 applicants for about 20 places for KGS 10+ a few years back.
