School Oversubscribed or not?

How do you find out if a school was oversubscribed this year? And if so by how many?

Should be published in the LA admissions booklet, I think. Admissions would know.

Either in the 2017 booklet or search for secondary allocation, 2016 and LA name, and you should find it.

The document might then say that all applicants were given places at some (for whatever reasons less popular) schools, whilst for the oversubscribed ones it should show which admission criteria were the last ones applicants were admitted under and what the "limit value" was - e.g. distance 2.43 miles - or could be religious or other criteria.

Our la publishes figures however it includes all preferences so this does somewhat skew the figures. My top 2 choices both had under their pan so this is a slightly better indicator than how many preferences received.
