Hello All!

Inspired by another recent thread and last year's SW London Girls thread, I thought I would create a thread for those of us applying to London Day Schools. I have put independent as I think 11+ has passed for most of us. Anyone care to join?

I have a DD (10) who wants to sit CLGS and SPGS. Ideally she would like to be a music scholar so looking at schools with a strong music department that is a commutable distance.

I'd assumed call or email as how else would they know it would arrive on the day. Interesting to hear that is not the case, thanks! And unlucky, as I'm out all morning on that day 🤢

No worries, though it may have changed. Similar to Offers Day for those schools that aim for hitting Friday before half term close. All are sent by 1st class, but if you do not receive anything in that day's post, it's ok to ring them and find out over the phone!

Thanks Ealing! I thought as much but City sent theirs via email so wasn't sure.

Hi Phaedra, hope you too has good news for SPGS. we got a yes and a date/ time via email around 10.00 (for those who are waiting) plus the school received a letter in the morning post. Good luck to everyone! Xx

Pradaqueen: Yes we got some good news too, I am very pleased for my daughter! Glad yours got an interview invitation too, well done!
For all those waiting, I think all the emails have gone out regardless of the result so worth checking with the school if you haven't received anything yet.

There isn't a next stage for Surbiton, you just receive a letter: no, offer, waitlist.

Based on previous years it could be this Saturday or early next week.

No idea re JAGS.

Anyone heard from KGS re interview schedule this Saturday?

I don't know when, but yes you'll be contacted by 'thanks but no thanks' letter. Timings can vary, but they're usually sent out at the same time they call for interviews or only a very little later.

Final outcomes always seem to be by letter.

Morning, I am still waiting for an email from NLCS, has anyone heard yet? Thanks!

A friend of mine said she got her NLCS email at 9pm last night as did some of her friends. Some invitation to interview and some "no thanks" emails.

All SPGS entrants should have got the yes or no email on the 18th.

My DD still has one exam left (I only sat her for 4 in the end)- disagree qothborep pushing for 6

My DD got invited for an interview at SPGS and LEH. Very happy for her. Anyone know how many are being interviewed this year? Also does the date/time of the interview reflect their standing, i.e. earlier for stronger candidates. Someone suggested this, I hadn't heard before but hope not.

Hi @SWBelle. 350 girls sat LEH and just over half invited for interview. Ideally 108 places in year but more will be offered (substantial number from JS).

I have a son - not a daughter - but DS has a applied to KGS and you were the only people talking about it.

We got the interview invitation about lunchtime today. It's a General interview. Anyone know what happens during KGS interviews?

i don't know DIN2K but a general interview is good news. If he was borderline he would have a maths or english specific interview
