Help with GCSE maths please!!

Hi all!

I'm re-taking GCSE maths after doing Level 1 & 2 Functional Skills as I've always struggled with maths! Now I've got homework and need help! Which are the odd numbers out of these lists and why? I've got the first one figured so not included it but please help me!

21, 35, 62, 84
24, 46, 84, 132
18, 32, 48, 90
16, 27, 54, 81

Odd numbers can't be divided by 2. Even numbers can, you should be able to work out now?

odd numbers are any number ending in 1,3,5,7, 9 You don't need to look at anything other than the last number.

Number 1 the odd number out is 62. The rest are multiples of 7

I don't think this is an odd/even question - this is an "odd one out" question.

In the first one, 21 is 37
35 is 57
62 isn't any multiple of 7
84 is 12*7

so 62 is the odd one out because it's not a multiple of 7.

Hum? I thought it's odd one out rather than 'odd number'?

So it's

21, 35, 62, 84 - can't be divided by 7
24, 46,84, 132 - can't be divided by 4
18, 32, 48, 90 - can't be divided by 3
16, 27, 54, 81 - can't be divided by 9

lol!!!! that's quite funny! I'll have another look.

16 is the square of 4. 27 is the cube of 3 and 81 is the square of 9.

54 is the odd one out.

oh yes, they are times tables questions. doh!

Oops. Forget my answer for 4. It's about multiples.
