DS struggling with exams (YR 13 aged18)

DS does not struggle with homework, lessons or understanding of his chosen A level subjects (maths and sciences).

He does however keep getting ridiculously low marks in tests and exams.

No stress, worries or backstory.

It would seem the knowledge is in there but he just can't express it in his answers!

He's moved on to the new A level system so there aren't any past papers available to try.

Any help, tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Hi again FacDoff. DS has had a bit of an epiphany since he did some uni open days. It's all become very real to him but in a good way, and he's really knuckling down. In his case, we hope it's just practice, practice and more practice. He certainly won't fail for lack of effort! And he's planning a gap year and UCAS in 2017 which takes some of the pressure off as any offers will be unconditional.
