German language summer courses

DD (Year 8) is learning German and we shall send her on a German course next summer for a couple of weeks. I have one good address already but would love any recommendations or opinions.

Look at Goethe Institut jugendkurse. Great fun, well organised and a child learns a lot.

My son is just going into Y9 but is nervous about being away for 2-3 weeks without his friends. I did find an immersion-type camp in Scotland which lasts a week. This year it did not coincide with the English school holidays (not sure where you are) but I've been told that next year it should do. It might be a good intro? It is called Articulate.

You could also look at Halsburys language exchange and Lingoo.

We live in Paris and DD has already done a lot of residential camps in various countries, so I think that I am definitely looking for something based in Germany or Austria. I have one Austrian address and may well go for that one next year, though am well aware that it will just be the first of annual German language camps until she leaves school - basically I need five, progressive courses for the next five summers!

The ones i found (goethe institute) were all a bit long for what i was looking for - about three weeks, whereas i'm looking for around a week - so just off to investigate the ones mentioned here!

Are all Goethe Institut jugendkurse equally good? Does anyone have experience or a recommendation for a specific location or course?

I was wondering if anyone's DC has gone to any of these Goethe Institut course in Germany for the 14-17 age group?
