I would return it as not fit for purpose...

I used to clean my DC's Blazers at the end of each term so they were ready for the next one, so 3 times a year. It cost £6 per blazer in the local independent dry cleaner and £12 per blazer at Johnsons (only made that mistake once!)

Not that choice pitchfork it is school issued one.

Thanks Chris

I have always washed my DC's dry clean only Blazers in the gentle cycle - no problems resulted.

mumonahottinroof · 05/09/2016 21:11

I always wash dc blazers too, absolutely refuse to dry clean them. It works out fine. They don't appear to need ironing either Grin

SideEye · 05/09/2016 21:17

Agree - blazers are fine in the washing machine. Sweat builds up on them quickly to be honest.

RalphSteadmansEye · 05/09/2016 21:21

Yep, ds's is 100% wool and it goes in the washing machine on a delicates cycle.

MyWineTime · 05/09/2016 21:23

Washing machine here, at the end of every half term.

pissedglitter · 05/09/2016 21:27

I stick it in the washing machine

nicp123 · 06/09/2016 21:17

Every term, £5.50 here.

Mycraneisfixed · 06/09/2016 21:29

I don't think I ever cleaned DD's blazerConfused

YesILikeItToo · 06/09/2016 21:31

Not every term. But definitely some terms...

Gentle wash in the washing machine when necessary Mistakenly put it through with other washing once and ended up with a very limp blazer. A can of starch from the pound shop soon sorted that though.
