Do they still get coursework in years 10-11?
Teenager reckons they don't, he has previous for claiming not to have homework. Hmm

I believe they have to do 'controlled assessments' which are done in class. But you definitely have to prepare for them at home, which can be lengthy Smile

If only just starting y10 even CAs have gone in some subjects (e.g. English?).

My DS has now finished year 11, at his school they had P7's after school homework classes and he would do his homework then. They also had revision days during the holidays that really helped. His predicted grades were mostly Ds and some Cs but he's got all Bs and Cs . You'll find that second half of year 11 is mainly revision and tidying up course work anyway

CA's will be gone for the new year 10 as they'll be the first cohort to do the new all exam linear GCSE's for everything. The new year 11 have a mixture of the old and new style so if he's year 11 he will have some still.
