BTec equivalent A levels and UCAS points?

Please can anyone tell me what a BTec Level 3 Diploma grade DM (distinction/ merit) is equivalent to in A Levels and UCAS points.

The school have told my son that DM is equivalent to AB in A Levels, therefore 120 plus 100 UCAS points. Does anyone know if this is correct?

I think it is BB at 200 UCAS.
At least that's what I have copied onto a spreadsheet from somewhere when tracking my DD's progress.

Unfortunately I didn't record my source .... (must listen to my own advice)

NB some courses require 'proper' A levels even if you have enough UCAS.

I isn't 220 it will be either 200 or 160 depending on the type of btec he did.
