Hi, DD Yr10 needs a bit of help with Maths, pre-GCSE exam. Does anyone know and can recommend a summer school in London for this purpose. Many thanks

Hi, have you spoken to her school ? They should be supporting her learning to ensure she is making enough progress without you having to resort to summer school. Do they offer catch-up sessions after school, for example? Have they used different teaching strategies to help her with the areas she finds tricky? They will also be able to advise on the best revision resources to use but if it was me I'd be working with the school who know your daughter well before outsourcing her learning to a for-profit summer school who won't know her at all and won't have her best interests at heart. Can you tell I teach ;-)

Thank you for your response. According to the school she is on track but my view is different. But thank you for your advice. I'll think of an alternative to a summer school perhaps.

How about an ex-6th former, someone who has just taken A level maths? They may be well placed to help your dd while earning a bit of money.
My dd's friend did maths tutoring for a couple of GCSE students during her gap year.
