Lady Margaret 6th form experience

I have a daughter who is due to start in September and would like to ask parents opinions on Lady Margaret's sixth form overall experience and in particular career support for sixth former. According to several disappointed parents I spoke to it is very basic boiling down to a talk and a shortlist created by the pupil which they then are encouraged to visit. Not a lot of input with regards to personal statement or university abroad either. Is the school addressing this issue appropriately? how do you rate the overall experience. Many thanks in advance.

I'll watch with interest. I'd keep tabs on their exam results. It's easy to see that GCSE results have declined for the last three or four years.

My impression is that the school has been sliding. However, if you are talking to existing parents who are disappointed why are you considering sending your daughter there?

Exam results and a declining reputation and ethos dissuaded us.

I would be interested in hearing from any parent of girls attending sixth form at LMS..My daughter has just started and after a week she has expressed some concern about the quality of the teaching. She has also found the girls rather unfriendly. I know that these are early days but feel a little apprehensive.
