Anyone else got a DC studying for IB exams?

Anyone else got a DC who is squirrelled away with a pile of books and study guides looking paler and paler and consuming entire mountains of chocolate?

My DD is hardly venturing out of her room at the moment and i am a bit worried that she is overdoing it. There seems to be so much to get through in so little time.

At least it will be all over by mid-May. I think she is handling it better than me!

Ds1 did the IB last year - it is a huge amount of work but at least it's over and done with pretty soon and getting the results at the beginning of July is a big bonus

Good luck to your dd - ds ended up doing better than he'd thought so it paid off in the end

Good luck to your DD.
Ds starts the IB in August and it does look like a huge amount of work.

DD1 is doing her French a year early. I'll be glad when it's all over next year!

Yes it is tough but it is good preparation for university. There is research showing that students who do the diploma find university easier. I'm on my phone so can't link now but it should be in www.ibo.org

OK I can link from my phone.
