Any opinions on schools

Hi, My daughter is in year 5 and has some special needs in that she needs extra help with maths and spellings. She is dyslexic and we are thinking she will need a small nurturing school. We don't think she will score very high and gain entry in the competitive schools.

Does anyone have a daughter in these schools that we think may be appropriate. How much help does your daughter get if she is falling behind:

St Augustine's Priory in Ealing
More House in Knightsbridge
The Laurels in Clapham
Queens Gate in South Kensington

Any parents with daughters there currently please do reply.

Hi More House is a fantastic School. No outside space really if that matters to you, but super supportive, personalised education and good knowledge re- dyslexia ( about 25 per cent of girls there are dyslexic). They only take 32 girls into year 7 (2 classes of 16), but they cap number of applicants at 130 ish, so apply early! Head is lovely - go and have a look. They tend to take girls who they feel will benefit most from the personalised education they offer.

The Laurels - could I suggest you are very careful on this one? There was a recent thread about this school which may be worth having a look at. Strong Opus Dei connection there.

No knowledge of the other two schools sorry. Not sure where you live, but you could also try Radnor House, Twickenham, Notre Dame, Cobham ( coach service from SW and West London), St Catherine's, Twickenham or the Hall, Wimbledon.

Good luck!
