I am really sure we will get one of our six. But I just don't know which one. And I am now really worried I put them down in the wrong order. Our first choice had a stabbing incident after applications closed.

sunnydayinmay Were did you the information for StCD distance allocations? I've been looking on the website but can't find details for this year. Also bear in mind that they have added 30 extra distance places this year.

Thethingswedoforlove · 01/03/2016 16:54

Kent emails out now. We got our first choice. Very pleased.

Skippersocks · 01/03/2016 17:08

Got my email from Ealing. First choice but no surprises there.

cuckoooo · 01/03/2016 17:11

@mumtryingherbest

I think she was talking about distance to school from this report:

RJsMa · 01/03/2016 17:12

devastated allocated place

minifingerz · 01/03/2016 17:13

In London - got first choice. No surprises - sibling and scholarship place.

Thank god that's over.

sunshine1975 · 01/03/2016 17:15

No emails yet. So frustrating....

PettsWoodParadise · 01/03/2016 17:15

I am in Bromley. No email yet but logged into eAdmissions and saw we got DD's grammar place, our first choice. We pretty much knew based on DD's score but still wanted to see it written down and confirmed. Good luck everyone else.

chickindude · 01/03/2016 17:16

We got our closest school, but it wasn't even on my list of choices. ( I won't detail the many reasons why)
I declined. We are taking up an Indie offer.

user1456259671 · 01/03/2016 17:18

Just got mine, second choice I'm very happy and wasn't sure what to put first or second but Dd is upset.

SelfRaisingFlour · 01/03/2016 17:19

I wouldn't wait for an email. Last time ours didn't come until about 7:30pm. London results are online.

DS2 will be following DS1 to Wilson's School. Everyone is delighted (except DS1)

Loula117 · 01/03/2016 17:23

We got the email around 3.10 too cuckoooo although we were luckier and DS got in on his academic score. Sorry you didn't get the school you wanted but at least you weren't immediately hating it when you saw it. I was in a similar position for primary school allocation for DS, we stayed on waiting lists and finally got offered a place 6 weeks into the new term. So it is worth staying on continued interest lists.

Hope your DS isn't too unhappy.

Potterwolfie · 01/03/2016 17:24

Just wanted to recommend anyone planning to appeal to buy the book ' How to win your school appeal' by Ben Rooney, available from Amazon and probably Ebay. Read it cover to cover, understand the process and what you can and cannot use as grounds, follow the guidelines, then write your appeal documents using the clear structure he advises.

And ask the amazing experts (prh, admissions and tiggy to name three) on here for advice...They saved my sanity last year as we navigated the appeals process.

simpson · 01/03/2016 17:30

Gutted...gutted...gutted.

We got 6th choice school, have accepted the place and will go on waiting lists.

minifingerz · 01/03/2016 17:34

Anyone in Merton got their results yet?

RJsMa · 01/03/2016 17:36

is there a deadline to respond?

BabyGanoush · 01/03/2016 17:40

Simpson, were any of your top 5 catchment schools?

TheoriginalLEM · 01/03/2016 17:46

Phew - DD got her place, i only put this school and one other as no other school in the area was suitable. DD has sen but no statement.

I was going to go on the waiting list but would have home schooled as our nearest school is a sink school.

I am so relieved, DDs school is a catholic school and whilst she is christened, we are not practising catholics so would have not been on the first priority list. Also there has been a school closure in the area which would have put pressure on the school we applied to so was by no means "in the bag". Its been stressfull as the local school is really bad (head teacher just suspended) and that would absolutely been the alternative offer and i would have had to home school.

Adamajudeh · 01/03/2016 17:56

minifingerz Do state school give scholarship!....
