I am really sure we will get one of our six. But I just don't know which one. And I am now really worried I put them down in the wrong order. Our first choice had a stabbing incident after applications closed.

Ours came through at 01:00 - so first choice was brilliant to wake up to this morning. Smile

Why are they sent so late?!

We were lucky: first choice, even though it is out of catchment and usually oversubscribed!

We were here last year: thinking of you all this morning!

To those who got 2nd choice and are a bit disappointed, this is what happened to us (first 3/6 choices were grammars). We got 2nd choice grammar, really lovely school just awkward commute from our corner of SE London. But we were all very pleased.

Then about 6 weeks later we got an offer from 1st choice school - and same happened to kids in DS's class who had our local academy as their 1st choice. There can be an awful lot of movement as people take up independent school places/ move house/ realise commuting from Paris to a grammar in Orpington might not work after all

The council will send us the results by email? Or we have to check ?

Hampshire calling in here. Ours came through at 01:22.
DD is pretty much top priority so no suspense, but it was nice to see it confirmed in writing anyway.

Hope everyone else is pleased. If not then remember - accept anyway.

Sunshine It depends on your LA I think from reading here.

1st choice here too! She got into the catholic girls grammar we wanted. Her best friend who didn't pass the exam also got her first choice which I'm almost as excited about after her being devastated when the results came out.

Ds2 got our first choice! Ds1 will be there in 6th form, and Dd is at the school next door Grin
He is a bit sad that most of his friends won't be going, but he wanted to go there

2nd choice here but am pleased because all along I felt in my heart this was the best choice for DS but ended up putting the Ofsted outstanding, better results, oversubscribed, out of catchment school first whilst head was winning the heart/mind battle. He can walk to school and his friends are going to the same school. Everybody relieved to know at last his September destination.

I checked our local website at 12.01 - and we got an email at 6am. DS has got his first choice - the out of borough grammar. It's a wonderful school. Excited for him.

Gah - pesky London Boroughs and their waiting 'til 5pm

Am feeling rather feeling of doom, hopefully misplaced

just remember these are only the first allocations

there is a ton of movement between now and July especially in London Boroughs.

Waiting till 5pm this is the annoying time ever. Waiting for Grammar schools to come out then waiting for the independent schools waiting list to move ohhh.

I'm in Devon and received email at 0.50am, DC got first choice - as did over 98% of DCs in my area.

After waiting impatiently for an email all morning, I decided to check the admissions website and yes, DD got first choice. Not sure why no email, though.

I'm so nervous. Do London boroughs really have to wait till 5pm? I feel sick. Has any London borough released results? Congrats to those who have received the offers so far?

Oxfordshire here. No email yet, but logged onto site and have accepted the offer. DD got first choice and is very happy! (We are out of catchment by 100yds and didn't expect to get in as school over-subscribed).
