I am really sure we will get one of our six. But I just don't know which one. And I am now really worried I put them down in the wrong order. Our first choice had a stabbing incident after applications closed.

Thank you Tiggy. Fingers and toes crossed, we're right at the cut off point as the catchment has shrunk hugely since we moved into our house.

Cookingwine · 29/02/2016 19:12

This is killing me right now. What if I screwed up the application or something? Aargh!

AgonyBeetle · 29/02/2016 19:13

Have they now fixed it so that the website doesn't automatically crash an hour before the results go live?

A few years ago that used to routinely happen, so you had to wait for the email. Twas maddening, and presumably unnecessary, since they must know how many applications they've had, and should therefore be able calculate exactly how many people are likely to want to access the website, and arrange for the appropriate server capacity.

Devilishpyjamas · 29/02/2016 20:02

Yep - waiting up until midnight.

mogloveseggs · 29/02/2016 20:15

Am bloody terrified. Dd 1St choice c of e high school. Fab school. We do attend church but not every week. 2nd choice nice school but she wouldn't get the opportunities that she would get at the first one. Am so worried. Sad

simpson · 29/02/2016 20:25

Another one who doesn't find out till 5pm tomorrow. DS sat the 11+ to avoid having to put 2 local sink schools down (but I do know he could still get them).

We have put an ex grammar school as first choice which we are in the catchment area by the skin of my teeth (think 4 houses away!) and then grammar schools 2-5 and a good ish all boys school as 6th.

Devilishpyjamas · 01/03/2016 00:07

YES! First choice. Free school with alternative non-Govian ethos. Am delighted!

Pantone363 · 01/03/2016 00:09

First choice too. So happy for DD!

Fingers crossed for everyone

bobinsky · 01/03/2016 00:11

First choice!

drivinmecrazy · 01/03/2016 00:14

First choice here too. A great relief, am crying tears of joy this time knowing We won't have to face an appeal and waiting list like her sister. Such a shame that it's the middle of night cos I want to scream and shout with releif WineGrinCakeFlowers

QueenofLouisiana · 01/03/2016 00:15

First choice here too! Can go to sleep now. Brew for all those still awake and waiting to find out.

Arkwright · 01/03/2016 00:18

First choice here thankfully too. We didn't get it for Dd1 we had to appeal and that failed. She eventually got a place off the waiting list. So nice not to have to go through all that.

Good luck to everyone else :)

FranHastings · 01/03/2016 00:31

First choice here too. So pleased. A distinct lack of anyone discussing on fb, which is really annoying because I want to discuss and I can't exactly text anyone at this hour Grin. I hope all her classmates got the places they wanted too.

mogloveseggs · 01/03/2016 00:31

First choice, so happy. Roll on 16th April to find out ds primary school. Good luck everyone waiting Smile

littledrummergirl · 01/03/2016 00:33

2nd choice here. Dd was happy with either 1st or 2nd so I know she will be thrilled in the morning.
We need to discuss her thoughts on wait list and appeal before deciding if it's the right thing for her.
Very happy and relieved now.
Next up ds1 GCSEs in a few months...

Brokenbiscuit · 01/03/2016 00:40

We got our second choice. DH will be happy because he liked that school best but dd will be gutted as she desperately wanted her first choice. Don't know how I'm going to tell her in the morning.

First choice was our catchment school too.Sad

AndNowItsSeven · 01/03/2016 01:08

Can't sleep, our LEA emails results at 3am.

ifcatscouldtalk · 01/03/2016 01:21

Last email i received last week said we will be emailed as of late afternoon today. I work with people under a different council and theres is midnight.... So I wait. Our 1st & 2nd choice switched places so often! Luckily dd is being much more mature than I ever expected and has told me it will work out wherever she getsGrin. Good luck everyone!

Eggsandketchup · 01/03/2016 01:22

2nd choice. The best school in the area, but ds is going to be gutted because he really wanted his first choice. I'm amazed tbh, his second choice school is so wildly over subscribed, we thought putting it as second choice was pointless!

ifcatscouldtalk · 01/03/2016 01:42

*theirs. My short time on mumsnet and am learning sloppy grammar must be corrected! I can't be reading more hysterical threads over "theres" and "theirs" (hangs head in shame)

Brokenbiscuit · 01/03/2016 01:52

We're in a very similar position. Didn't think for a moment that dd would get a place at our 2nd choice. It's a good school and has a sixth form, which I wanted, but dd has set her heart on the other school. I must admit, I did really like the atmosphere at our first choice.

I can't sleep now, dreading the fact that I have to break the news to dd in the morning.

AndNowItsSeven · 01/03/2016 02:00

Second choice but dd's first choice and may turn out to be the best school for her due to her Asd. It's still a very good school so pretty happy.

AndNowItsSeven · 01/03/2016 02:01

Funnily enough I didn't think dd had a choice at our second choice school either.

Allice · 01/03/2016 03:14

First choice here too, actually was the only choice I put down.

Dd passed 11+ and has got in our local girls grammar, she'll be thrilled, wish I could sleep!
