Was thinking about this place for next year for DS. But now it seems that the original head has left mid-year which seems like a massive warning sign to me. Anyone with a child at the school with any info?

It looks interesting, doesn't it.

I don't know anyone there though.

The specialism would be perfect for DS and the facilities are great, but... I'm just not sure if they are able to attract enough pupils to be viable.

That looks amazing. How could it not be successful? I would imagine they will have large numbers applying.

It's very difficult to persuade pupils to leave their existing school and start a new one in year 10. Also, it's a new and untested school so people are wary of taking a chance. I see they're advertising for a new head right now. If the google reviews are anything to go by, it's not in a good state.

OFSTED "requires improvement" in January 2017. Check out the DfE GCSE results info: provisional data for 2017 indicates progress as below average, 22% achieved good grades in maths & English, 26% persistent absence rate. One of the worst 300 schools in England out of 3000.
