Holiday drama/musical theatre courses

Can anyone recommend a holiday drama/musical theatre course in London or Kent? 12 year old girl. Thanks so much

The Arts Ed School in Chiswick, W4 runs courses in the Summer Holidays.

Our local Stagecoach does weeklong holiday workshops at least in the Summer. They are good value and my DC really enjoy them. (They don't do Stagecoach in term time).

Do you want resudential or non resudential?

What standard is your dd?

My dd is 14 & is considering Bird College, Laines, Performers & Arts Ed.

When she was younger she did Stagecoach.

Thank you - she has had lots of musical theatre experience, often playing the leads in her school plays so it would be a jump up from school productions...

Does she dance?

Several , not all of the residential ones are for children who are considering training as a career when they are older or who are recreational but do lots outside school.

If there is an Ambassador theatre near you they run summer courses leading to a show but you have to audition.

Many of te stagecoach ones are good combining classes & rehearsals.

Does she want a show in a week type course or voice/drama/dance technique classes.

Have a look at all the theatres that have Youth theatres: The Roundhouse, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Lyric Hammersmith, Albany in New Cross, Hackney Empire, Oval House, Theatre Peckham, Young Vic.

Though they will probably not have publicised details of their summer schools yet.

Also look at the very good Theatresaurus courses which operate in different areas.
