What can dd put in her school rep application?

Dd is applying to be a Year 8 School rep, similar to school council I suppose.

She's been given a rough idea of what to put in her application letter but the bit she is struggling with is new ideas for the future. What sort of things could she put that would be attainable?

Are there any aspects of the school that she finds annoying, or frustrating, or pointless apart from the whole thing ?
Eg - are the lunch queues too long - is there a way that could be improved
Are there any extra-curricular clubs that she might want to try and get in place?
Introduction of a house system if it doesn't exist?
Interform/house competitions, or a different range of competitions
Lobby for a new sport to be introduced in PE - zumba, pilates etc?

Get the whole school, or each individual house, to adopt a charity and have ideas for a couple of fundraising ideas to support that e.g. cake sale, sponsored run etc.

Think of changes that could be made to the lunch menu e.g. introduce a salad bar, healthier puddings, more veggie options etc.

Shouldn't she be coming up with ideas herself? Hmm

The school may well have an anti-bullying committee, but if bullying is something she feels strongly about then she could come with ideas.

Thanks, some good ideas here.

Yes she should ideally be doing it herself but she's stuck for ideas so I just want to start her off. There are loads of homework help posts on MN, I don't see this as any different.

Could do a Save The Environment spiel. Things like recycling boxes for waste paper in every classroom, bin for cans/bottles in the dining room, "don't waste water" signs in the toilets.
