Will I get my second choice?

Worried now. I impulsively put a first choice for my son that we hadn't discussed and don't stand a chance of getting in, on a 'you never know' basis. Now I'm worried that my actually first choice will choose all people who picked them as a first choice and get full, or will having them as my second choice be fine?

Relax.
If you qualify for a place better than the people who put it first, you will get it.
Schools aren't allowed to prioritise people who put them first over people who don't get their first and put them second.

Phew. DS is in tears (he's a delicate soul) because we never discussed it and he doesn't want to go there.

You can change your mind and resubmit your application (I think), as the deadline isn't until around Oct half term. You may need to check that though.

I had a look on the website and the email they sent but can't see an option for editting my application. Deadline is 31st oct.

Phone them and ask. You're too organised, that's your problem!
