Work Experience

My daughter has to do a ridiculous amount of work experience to support her application to do veterinary medicine and has spent a great deal of her holiday gaining valuable knowledge. Next summer will be as busy.

Do any mums have any contacts with dairy farms in the west Midlands/ Birmingham area?

I don't. However, have you contacted an organisation such as the National Farmers' Union? They may be able to help. There might be a dairy farmers' association - who was fronting up the 10p a pint campaign recently? Yellow Pages might also list suitable farmers. If she has had vet work experience, what farmers were clients of the vets? Also, try going to an agricultural show that has dairy classes. There might be contacts there. Good luck.

Milly has the right idea Agricultural shows and clients of the practices she is doing work experience.
You need to prepare yourself if she gets in what she is doing now is the tip of the iceberg virtually her entire holidays will be taken up with work experience. She will need to travel to other parts of the UK I went to Leicestershire, wales, Kent, Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Aberdeenshire and Shetland.
