I think you have to register, and then you will be sent a letter or email nearer the time telling you what time and which school they will sit it at. It's on 12 Sep this year.

It is typically in one of the grammar schools. Ds sat in Weald of Kent school. Definitely worth going to the practise test (if they still do it) to check on parking etc.

Have now had a letter saying which school it is at

We got our letter on Friday too. Gulp. 4,400 out of county applicants the letter mentions, last year 3,700 sat, don't know how many were no shows. We definitely plan to be there, but I know at least one parent who applied but has decided their DC will not to sit.

Pettswood we also know someone who applied but has decided not to apply. But lots more than usual from our school are going in for it this year. Agree with your gulp!!!
