I have managed to book our holiday over results day and my dc school will not transmit results by any electronic means. They only allow a sae for the results to be sent home or to someone else. Is this common? I have heard that dc can access their results through their exam board. Anyone know anything about this and how to do it?

Long time ago so not helpful but I had mine faxed to me - that was painful trying to guess each letter as printed out sooooooo slowly!

At my DCs school exam results are published in the local and regional rag whether you like it or not. They are public exams, the results are not confidential!

Really? Every single student has their individual subject results published in the local paper?

could you nominate one of her teachers to pick it up and send a photograph of the results to your dd straightaway? assuming that the teacher is willing to do this, of course.

The results are for all students subject is listed if achieved at A-C (abbreviated obviously) with a single for A and for A in the local paper eg Eng,hist, geo, chem, phy, bio,Fr,mus*
.In the regional one it is just the number at A-c followed by the number at A* in brackets eg 10(6).All the schools send them in.it is very interestingto see how people have done!
