Other than lots of work, what does GCSE fine art involve? DD has just got her chosen option of GCSE art textiles, but says she found out GCSE fine art isn't just about fine art (which to be honest she's average at and doesn't have a natural flair).
She chose GCSE art textiles (I think this would suit her better as she's quite creative) in the hope she could get at least a B in an art subject - they need GCSE grade B in any art subject to be able to study one at A level in sixth form.
