Best Secondary Schools nr Twyford, Reading - Piggott, Bulmershe, Waingels

Hi, we are hoping to move to Twyford in Reading and looking at best high schools for our children in year 8 and 10.
If anyone has any knowledge/feedback/comments about either of the schools mentioned above, would be really keen to hear from you.
Also our youngest will be in year 4 so any tips on good Junior Schools in Twyford catchment, also would be very helpful.
Seems most of the local schools have waiting lists so be good to get an idea of the top 2/3 (also any to avoid!). Thank you.

Piggotts and Waingels get similar results, Bulmershe not quite so good, last time I looked. B historically has the worse reputation, but I've looked round it twice recently and been more impressed than I thought I would be. P traditionally is the 'nice' school (not surprising given it's location) but doesn't actually seem to be substantially better - I've not visited there though. I know W best - feel free to pm me about it.

Have been putting off rejoining mumsnet after a long absence, but couldn't resist answering this post as I am local.
Piggott is the catchment school for Twyford, although you may well get into Waingels. Piggott is ok, but should really do better given its catchment area - the results haven't been that great historically. However, I hear good things from local parents. Friend has kids at Waingels and is happy with it, although their open plan layout (which I think has now been partitioned) is bizarre. Bulmershe may well be the school that is going places - about to have more money spent on it, and I hear good things, but haven't visited.

Some bits are still open plan, and y7 have at least one humanities lesson a week in one massive (60?) group with three teachers. But there have been many walls and doors added, lol.
