Does anyone know how this works in terms of timing? DS is
just finishing Year 7 and we would like to know where he stands. I have heard of movement off waiting list as late as a month before the test in Year 8. Does anyone know of movement at end of Year 7 or before Christmas in Year 8?

Sorry typing on stupid new phone! Most if not all sitting election have already got places in houses which is why your being told you might not find out till late in yr 8 but I've been contacted by a few mums on here in your position and they seem to find out before Xmas of yr 8. Have you spoken to the admissions offce they're very helpful about all things relating to admissions IME.

Thank you HG you are very helpful. Roughly how many boys sit Election? May I please bother you with another question - I understand sport is not a big deal at Wincoll, but if you are sporty and enjoy team sports and racket sports, are there plenty of opportunities to play?
