Only another week to go for DD, but I know some of you have two weeks.

LineRunner, ds definitely has the 2 hour calculator paper on Friday morning.

LineRunner · 15/06/2015 20:23

That's the one, bebumba, thanks for confirming.

So, History tomorrow morning. I feel quite weary. Must be the conversation I just had with DS about Gerald Ford!

ono40 · 15/06/2015 20:45

Horse, I work for the University of Manchester so I'm a little biased! Unlikely he will choose it though because of the connection, but it will give him an idea of what a city centre university is like and he can ask questions about what work experience they are after, what A levels they look for and how to go about writing a personal statement (he is interested in doing a business degree).

Good luck tomorrow to all those still slogging on.

Littleham · 15/06/2015 21:02

Sorry to hear about the horrible Further Maths exam. Sad Thank goodness my dd's school chose Advanced Maths (which I guess must be easier than FM). I get confused about these in between Maths exams.

Good luck for tomorrow.

poppym12 · 15/06/2015 21:15

i have strict instructions not to wake DS up at all tomorrow. fortunately he's in the attic so won't hear normal day to day noise anyway.

(attic is a bedroom. i don't just shut him away up there).

Horsemad · 15/06/2015 21:36

Grin poppy!

Bearleigh · 15/06/2015 22:26

Littleham DS did both Advanced and Further Maths this year! (& did his iGCSE last year). He's a glutton for punishment.

HSMMaCM · 15/06/2015 22:45

Bearleigh - dies he like maths ? Grin

Last exam for Dd today (surgery history). She's all conflicted: part of her all at sea, feeling 'I God I'm actually leaving school and will be a grown up', part of her excited about the freedom. Unsettled bit not helped by DH reminding her that her shiny new NI number means that she actually will have to pay NI when she works .....(ellipses, sorry).

Her dad also 'for the last time' told her to get to bed as she has school tmorrow. Sad.

Anyone else's DC a bit unsettled by the end of it all? Think I am as I woke up at 4am (why isn't there a tired emoticon, it would be the most used one ever in Mn?) Grin

Good luck to Everyone finishing off today.

SugarPlumTree · 16/06/2015 06:02

Good luck to the Historians today .

Ashbeee, I think DD is quite unsettled now she is finished and still been maintaining her exam routine to some extent. She's not feeling brilliant which doesn't help. Has hot plans to go to the Beach later in thd week which I hope will help her switch to summer mode.

bigTillyMint · 16/06/2015 06:46

Last exam, last exam, last exam Can't believe we are finally here!

Don't know if I will see DD after as apparently they are all meeting up for high jinks and then off to a friends and I won't be in till later.

Fancy a beach trip myself, SugarPlum!

Horsemad · 16/06/2015 06:52

I smell FREEEEEDOM!!! Grin

Oh yes, finally it's here; the last GCSE - History (surgery). Grin Grin

DS has been a star, he's worked hard so I hope he gets some good grades to reward him. We're off out for lunch after his exam then his time's his own!! Got my camera primed for his last school day photo (even though he's hopefully going to 6th form in same school!)

Good Luck to everyone still doing exams, it will soon be over Smile

Bearleigh · 16/06/2015 07:01

Good luck to those finishing today - such a long haul, but they are (almost) there.

bebumba · 16/06/2015 07:20

Good luck to all those doing exams today.

poppym12 · 16/06/2015 07:53

Hope today goes well and that finishers enjoy their last day (the after exam bit).

LineRunner · 16/06/2015 07:57

History (USA) today. Then a short break till Further Bloody Maths again on Friday. Then fin.

dingit · 16/06/2015 08:01

Today History will become History, then just two more (sob)

auntpetunia · 16/06/2015 08:01

Nothing here today. Good luck to everyone who has exams today. DS's worst day is tomorrow chemistry and graphics. Chemistry is his worst science so he's off to school for revision this morning.

To those who are free enjoy

Fairenuff · 16/06/2015 08:18

Good luck for today and whoop do doop for those finishing Grin

Ds has history and then two more to go so we'll be a little late to the party.

TheWordFactory · 16/06/2015 08:21

DD has her last exam today. Hoorah!

DS still in bed but no doubt will be jolly pleased for his sisterWink.

tbtc · 16/06/2015 09:04

History today. Had a bit of drama yesterday evening when DS realised he hadn't looked at 1/2 the stuff. Some mad revision, but then a text this morning saying that what he'd looked at isn't in the exam today.

I am hoping this means he has looked at what's in it.

Penultimate one today. It seems to have gone on for SO LONG!

TheWordFactory · 16/06/2015 09:10

DS is up and predictably annoyed by his sister's ensuing freedom. I'm hoping a bacon sandwich will soften the blow.

TheWoollybacksWife · 16/06/2015 09:58

Further Maths sounds grim. Fingers crossed for all DCs sitting that and Wineto all parents dealing with said teens.

Just graphics tomorrow and then we're done. It is the subject that DD really wants to do at A level and pursue as a career - so no pressure there then Hmm

LotusLight · 16/06/2015 10:06

Good luck to those still doing exams. one of the twins is going to the history AS induction today and his twin is not. I don't know what the teacher is going to make of that. (They are both going to do A level history).

Littleham · 16/06/2015 10:11

Keep going everyone, nearly there. Smile

Good luck for those exams everyone.

My dd is still totally exhausted. She is usually full of energy but has pretty much collapsed in a heap since the exams finished.
