Any current parents of DDs about?

I have been trying to get some feedback from current parents on the school (our move north looks likely to fail) but I seem to only find people whose children 'almost went there' but chose another place (usually Francis Holland NW1) or kind of sort of know someone whose daughter went there a while ago.

A lot of the feedback seems pretty dated - I got the impression that the school has been changing a lot under the new head.

I really liked the school when we visited, as did DD, but it also seems like it could either be very much the right school or a big mistake, if that makes any sense, given its size and what I hear (might be apocryphal) about its rather distinct atmosphere. The other threads I've seen suggest my instinct is right on this but again they are quite old.

One of the things that appeals, relative to schools nearer to us (DD would be commuting) is smaller class sizes. It is a commute though, so definitely not a low maintenance option.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

My info is outdated too. A good friend has 3 DDs who went there, youngest now 20! All loved it and did well. I looked at it for DD (currently year 7) and liked it a lot but decided on co-ed. I didn't like Francis Holland

Thanks Davros. I am just bumping this - can't believe there are no Mumsnetters with DCs there.

Interesting you say that about Francis Holland. It wasn't for me either - felt more expaty than other places we've looked at and I think I am the only person I've met whose come into contact with the school who didn't warm to the head. Horses for courses I guess.
