What is the most trouble you have got into at school?

mine was getting a detention for not doing homework.

Mine was being in the boys changing room after PE! That and getting boys in the year above to do my homework for me. Strangely enough every time I was in trouble it involved a boy!

Bullying. We sent a fake valentines card to someone. At the time we just thought it was hilarious, didn't even cross my mind it was a horrible thing to do

My friend went to a strict girls grammar in the 1960s and got a punishment recorded in the punishment book for "walking two, nay, three abreast in the corridor".

Primary: Truancy, fighting, stealing

Middle school: lots of fighting (once stabbed a child in the leg with a biro because they kept poking me in the back. Later realised this was the same kid making nuisance calls to my house)

Secondary Truancy, smoking, having cigs (not caught smoking them)

There was a one hour detention on a Thursday and a two detention on a Tuesday. Two hours was sooo long.

I had my prefects badge taken from me and was not allowed to do DofE. I did not mind that but the detentions were hard.

VIth form: Truancy, fighting.

At uni, truancy (three lectures in the third year of a physics degree) and fighting.

I now see a pattern.

About the fighting, when other people did things wrong I got cross. I think this is because I am a bit Aspergers. Now, when there is some behaviour I can not stand, I choose flight over fight.

Don't eat with your mouth open or talk with your mouth full. Say please and thank you.

Going through a hatch door in the library into the school basement and having a wander around. Coming up through another hatch door to find the caretaker standing over us. Got the slipper for that one, I was 9.

Climbing out of a window on a school trip to France and getting caught coming back at 3am. I was 14.

Leavers trip was to London. We were dropped in Knightsbridge and given a time to regroup with strict instructions to not leave the area. I have photos of us on the tube, swigging a bottle of wine, we ended up in Covent garden, had our hair cut...shaved off at the back....had more drink and got back to the bus absolutely hammered. I threw up on the way back.

On our last day at school a group of threw the PE teacher in the pond.

Oh and I once grabbed a boy by the hair, dragged him across the classroom and repeatedly smacked his head off the wall until the teacher pulled me off him. He had said something very nasty and I was not happy. He never said another word to me again.

I was expelled when I was 15.

It was a long time coming and deserved if I'm honest after many detentions, suspensions, warnings and all sorts throughout 3rd/4th/5th year.

I had been bullied for years with little/no help from the school and eventually I snapped and took it out on everyone who dared cross me in any way.

I wish I could go back and tell my younger self to push harder for help and to keep my head down in class, not to let those arseholes win which of course they did when I started lashing out.

Drinking and smoking. I went to a boarding school so when I say drinking I mean in the evening or at the weekend as opposed to during lessons!

I bit my best friend.

Being caught by the maths teachers in a pub in the lower 6th when we should have been in the theatre (boarding school). Hauled in front of the (very scary) head mistress the next morning threatened with suspension. Letters sent to UCCA telling them how naughty we were. And letters sent home. Which in my case was to my parents pub which my mother proudly put on display.

Skiving English after DS to eat our cakes in the cloakroom! We were caught by the Deputy Head.... who was my Dad!!!

Skiving Art for half a term pretending to visit my sick Aunty. Caught out when the Art Teacher asked the Deputy Head how is sick sister was!

Oh god loads!

Got suspended when I got caught doing a ouiji board at my Christian boarding school. The reverend came and blessed the boarding house and the bins we threw the ouiji board into at 3am. My mother was not impressed!

Got caught with a boy in the bottom of my wardrobe - that got me extra chores.

Got caught drinking numerous times - was in the pub once when my headteacher walked in and we hid behind the bar, with the barmaids blessing!

Got a detention for forgetting my PE kit ??

Was expelled about three weeks before the end of my school career, basically for not handing in RE homework. Once.

Had to do an essay on why we are supposed to do our own homework, instead of copying it. I was in Year 3. Only taught me to be better at copying without being caught. Gave up on doing homework by the time I was in Year 9. Punishment was usually to copy out the school rules. Yeah,...I didn't do the first piece of homework,.. What made them think I'd do the extra homework?

Also once had to do an essay on lead poisoning and explain why I shouldn't stab classmates with a compass. My school were keen on essays. My mum thought it was great, as I apparently needed practice in essay writing anyway.

Sneaking off to the pub on residential Geography field trip ( A level)

None. I was one of those annoying goody-two-shoes

Some of these are quite..erm...heavy

encouraging a 16 year old girl to think about a job which her mum thought would interfere with her housing application.

The angriest parent I have ever seen.

In year 7/8, my friends and I had a penchant for passing notes to each other during lessons. The content was mainly discussions about the meaning of sex-related words and what would be expected if you went to 'first base', 'second base' etc with a boy. Notes were often confiscated so we developed a code.

However, during one history lesson, we neglected to use the code and a series of explicit notes were taken from us by the teacher. She read them and was incandescent at the end of the lesson and asked us to stay behind, whereupon she launched into a tirade about the content being 'plain filth' and that she would never have expected it from girls like us. We were sent to the year head and I was terrified my parents would be informed.

Fortunately, the year head downplayed it and said it would be up to our form tutor to administer punishment. He was a cool guy, and just told us not to do it again. Still, for months afterwards unrelated teachers would ask with a snigger if we'd "passed any notes lately".

Secondary - no swimming kit for swimming lesson so a detention (one and only)

A-Level - letter home to parents intercepted by me for 'spasmodic' attendance as I refused to go to registration for the two years I was there.

Middle School- setting off a fire extinguisher and then making things worse by lying and saying that it was an accident because I 'leant on it'.

Pretty tame in comparison to some of these!

stuff that if I'd not been at fee paying schools would DEF have got me expelled

best was soaking the HT with a water pistol
or possibly filling a teachers car with inflated condoms
