Just got a letter today telling us that we were being offered a place at RPA which was our first choice state school however we had always planned on going to Emmanuel and were lucky enough to get in. Obviously paid hefty deposit too! Just got a little niggle about whether we should take RPA - their results not good this year at all but apparently they're on the up. Anyone any thoughts ds is sporty too which think is better suited to independent

If you can afford it then it's a no brainer - Emanuel (note correct spellingl!!)

Depends on how happy you think your Dc would be at each school, and if fees are a stretch. Both schools have improving reputations in different sectors.

If you can do it - Emanuel! My three DSs all there, its been the making of them!

No brainer - Emanuel.
For the second year running RPA are not releasing their 5ACME results - and the excuse of a 'poor cohort' is wearing thin now after several years of the same HT.
And the 'expected progress figures' are appalling compared to other schools with similar intake.
