Am also a scouser but left when I was 5.Went back for university though and regularly used to get burgled by a local scally/boy who I'm pretty certain called himself Emlyn Hughes ( edge of Toxteth).

TheWoollybacksWife · 30/05/2015 20:02

My first date with DH was an away day to watch Coventry v Liverpool at Highfield Rd Grin

He bought us tickets for Liverpool v Sheffield Wed for my 21st - and splashed out for the main stand. I knew then he was a keeper. I have always been a red but have had to develop an interest in Rugby League since dating a Wool.

dingit · 30/05/2015 20:34

Just one thing to say to you lot. ARSENAL!

Not really can't ruddy stand the game Smile

bigTillyMint · 30/05/2015 20:53

Woolly, I think I must have gone in 85 or 86. In Sheffield.

Had a lovely chatty dinner out with DD, who was also thinking about prezzies - wine/chocs/flowers! HSM, did your DH give you the ideas for your prezzies?

HSMMaCM · 30/05/2015 21:30

Btm- yes. My DH is from the far far north.

grumpy, demotivated, pale, likely-to-fly-off-the-handle, a total bore to live with!

Snap ginandtonic. May I add for dd3 - stroppy, surly, lethargic, red rimmed eyes, spiky, think sodium and water combined in a BIG way!

Please, please, please can we all swap children? I'll take the other one in the south west if you will take mine. Am willing to pay.

Littleham · 30/05/2015 22:37

On the upbeat side of things all I hear from teachers, grandparents, other people is 'isn't she lovely, polite, well behaved....'

So the troll behaviour is saved up for home and exams.

ErrolTheDragon · 30/05/2015 23:58

DH, Ddog and I went for the day to some nice gardens leaving DD to finish her geography revision - she won't contemplate any time off. She did at least find time to try on her wetsuits and apparently they still fit - age 14.

ErrolTheDragon · 31/05/2015 00:02

(My DMs family were Liverpudlians, EvertonGrin)

Bearleigh · 31/05/2015 08:33

What is it about MN, GCSEs & Liverpool? DH was born there and feels Scouse though they moved away when he was 12. He supports Liverpool too.

bigTillyMint · 31/05/2015 08:55

Errol, that's good - I found the Decathlon age 14 to be like a size 10 and wore quite a bit of age 14 stuff when I was a less menopausal shape, despite being tall!

Bearleigh, he feels Scouse because he IS Scouse - see Aunt P's postSmile

Best accent and sense of humour in the world.

We went out for dinner last night and the DC were on surprisingly good form.

They said they wished the exams had been closer together and they were finished now; half term has been 'torture'.

But apart from that they chatted happily about the summer holiday plans, sixth form ( DS is enjoying his position as resident expert on the school) and university.

Lol MissClemencyTrevanion Grin All welcome here! Smile

TheWordFactory · 31/05/2015 11:32

Kids as gloomy as the weather here this morning.

I cooked a full English and we all went and walked the dogs on the rain. They seem a bit mire perky now.

I think revising is worse than the actual exams for them.

bigTillyMint · 31/05/2015 11:34

TWF, DD seems to be in a rather grumpy mood - am leaving her in peace - she is revising! The next exams are the important ones for her, gulp.

dingit · 31/05/2015 12:17

I have a real snotty little grot bags here today. Just 3 weeks to go if we don't all go mad!

switchitoff · 31/05/2015 13:37

DS has gone off to his father's today, which is a relief because I don't know how much more of the moping, whinging, complaining and flying-off-the-handle-for-no-reason-at-all I could take.

He only has 2 weeks of exams left as he finishes on 12 June and then has the BEST summer holiday ever planned. I keep wanting to chat to him about it because I am vicariously excited for him, but am worried I'll distract him so am trying to keep my serious face on.

ScarletIris · 31/05/2015 14:00

dingit saying the name of that team is swearing

HSMMaCM · 31/05/2015 15:59

DD had been furiously writing flash cards for the last couple of days. I can't help thinking it's too little too late, but anyway ... It's better than nothing.

Hi reporting back (not Scouse or even Scouse ancestors). Half term has been nice, dd not revising as much as her friend. 5 exams left, starting on Tuesday. Peaceful so far.
