Aaargh . . . help me, MN (School trousers related)

DD really needs new school trousers. She is in year 8, and I bought these ones when she was in primary . . .

They have to (her requirements, not school):
Have pockets - not just a back pocket
Not be slim leg style, nor overtly 'flared' bootleg
Not be knitted stretchy material

I've looked at Next - and I don't think their jeans style ones would be acceptable to school, IIRC they have a no denim-type-material rule.

I'm sure her last lot were something like this from M&S, but she swears the linked ones are too skinny.

Can anyone help, before I'm reduced to burning her current trousers so she can't wear them??? (She's a standard fit age 13-14)

Oh, sorry, forgot, definitely not skinny leg either.

My Dd has to have navy and we struggled to get any from anywhere. Against my better judgement we tried the local school uniform shop. We got some lovely ones with pockets and a nice straight leg.

For primary school she always had M&S ones.

I get them from BHS they have an excellent selection skinny/regular. My super vain 13 year old will wear them.

Yeah, was going to suggest bhs - my dd wears their skinny leg ones, but they had quite a selection.

My DD has ones similair to your description from Debenhams- they're lovely suit type material but haven't gone shiny.

I thought I had it sussed for you with these from John Lewis, but before you get too excited they seem to be put of stock in most sizes

BTW, measles, do you know if they come up big? Looking at their size guide, it looks like dd needs size 11 long .

if it helps, the Next jean style trousers (in the boys ones anyway) are not made of Jean type material, they are just the same material as their normal school trousers.

Slim fit from M&S. Not skinny fit, not regular fit, fit well all over, pockets, wash and wear really well.

All ordered from BHS. Good tip about the Next jeans style ones, though WankerDeAsalWipe, will remember for next time.
