Urgent question re isolation

Dd has been in isolation today, as a result of an incident earlier this week. She has an violin lesson tomorrow. If she is still in isolation, can they prevent her from attending her paid-for music lesson?

Depends on school policy and also on the severity of the "incident".

Two days in isolation means something fairly serious has gone off so I'd tell your dd not to get their hope up for the lesson.

We used to let them attend the vast majority of the time but as head of music I had to confirm the times with supervising teacher, who used to let them go but then knew what time to expect them back. If it was serious to warrant being with head or one of the deputy heads all day, then they weren't generally allowed to go, but were too scared to ask anyway! Very much depends on school policy. Best bet is to ring and ask.

Thanks.

I'm not happy about the isolation. Two days would IMO be excessive for the incident. Keeping her away from her music lesson would be totally over the top.

Talk to the school. It depends on what your daughter has done
