For de aged 13. We're not overly impressed with the school science textbooks & the endless one word answer/multi choice type worksheets she gets.

Dd's msjor fault is that she doesn't put enough detail in her answers (if it seems too obvious she doesn't put it, it's a trait of her ASD) so that needs encouraging & she likes to study in more depth.

Was looking at the CGP revision guides, the Longmans 11-14 books for high attainers & the Galore Park - so you really want to learn books.

Does anyone have any experience of these books?

CGP guides are generally good. Have you had a look at the bbc bitesize website? It has KS2, KS3 and KS4 science sections with 'revision book', games and questions sections.

She has very limited internet access in term time but she has looked at bbc bite size.

Teaching at her school is mixed ability do shed like to extend herself & read around/beyond the curriculum.

DD has the CGP ones - study guide and workbook. She uses them when revising, esp the workbook.
