Urgent for recommendation of year 9 science workbook

My son is weak in science especially chemistry. I am afraid he can't pass his term end exam. Can anyone recommend any science workbook with plenty of exercises in it. I have already bought CGP but seems to be only a revision guide.

CGP do both a science revsion guide and a workbook with exercises (the latter is a white covered book). Do you have both or only the revision guide?

CGP guise are good as previous posters have recommended. You do need the revision guide and workbook though - they sit together - revise from revision guide, test yourself in workbook and there is a small answer booklet as well.
If you ask the school they will recommend for you. I have purchased core and additional resources for my daughter in year 9. She is currently working from the core books. However, depending on you DCs ability then these may or may not be appropriate. School is best advisor.

My daughters teachers now refer me to the appropriate modules/sections in the revision guides for each test she sits. She is not naturally scienficic, has a pretty crap teacher and her grades have dropped. I am taking it on - structured revision with the schools input in terms of advice for revision for tests. When (IF??) she improves her grades I am going into school again to get some assurance that she will not have same teacher again for GCSE.
What else can you do? I am a teacher and I know -- pressurise struggling teacher, they leave and class is in a situation where they have non-specialist or cover supervisor. Nothing gained.

You need to ask the school. It entirely depends what is covered in the exam, and whether they are covering a key stage 3 or gcse course.

I recommend to any kids who've missed time of school to use the my gcse science website as it is fantastic at explaining concepts. However, it does charge you now (i think core GCSE is still free this year)
