Any recommendations of books for a 10/11 year old boy?

Just that really! DS1 loves reading and will read anything, but I'd love some recommendations for books for him.

We've done all the Harry Potter series, the Artemis Fowl books, all the Percy Jackson books and all the more recent ones by the same author. He also loved the Diamond Brothers series and some of the Michael Morpurgo books but didn't really get into the Narnia series, much to my dismay. Has read ridiculous numbers of minecraft books because he can get them on his kindle, and other bits and pieces I can't remember.

I guess he likes funny/adventure books, and all the better if they're part of a series because then he doesn't have to look around for any for a while!

Any ideas/suggestions would be very welcome :)

TIA

Having reread the thread I admit to having had a good chuckle at the 12-year-old who enjoys a spot of Chaucer, Edgar Allan Poe, Stephen Hawking and Machiavelli in his free time! Would love to know which school this miracle is at as DS is trying to decide between some of the best schools in the country and would genuinely be put off by such stealth boasts...

OP, another vote for the Northern Lights trilogy as DS loved these.

EvilTwins, cross post but I agree, that whole list is ridiculous and pretentious, and I'd be seriously worried about any 12-year-old who actually made these recommendations of their own accord... As it is, it just looks like a sad attempt at a stealth boast by a frustrated parent.
